A Georgian Garnet Necklace the central oval cut garnet to a back chain comprising of graduated pear cut garnets alternating with kite-shaped links inset with round cut garnets, in yellow collet settings length 43.5cm The necklace is in fair condition commensurate with age and use. The reverse of the necklace is scuffed throughout and there are areas of discolouration, there is also evidence of lead solder near the catch and also to some of the links throughout from repairs. The majority of the garnets have damages to some degree, two of the pear shaped garnets have significant fractures, the others have minor chips/nibbles, three of the smaller garnets are fractured with the others having more minor damages.
